Jadavpur University A Unknown Heaven Of Engineering

SO I got both Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation engineering but I opted for electronics and instrumentation engineering as because the electronic part as we all know that after IT electronics is the uprising industry in India. The faculty student ratio is decent but it needs improvement. The ratio is roughly around 1:40. MOST of the faculty members had MTech degree.even our hod mam is graduated from IITKGP. But somewhere there is a fault in the teaching methods especially from the research intern teachers. Now that's the point even teachers didn't teach us the topics but in exams there are questions from the topics. It's very difficult to cope up with the cariciullam and getting good CGPA. It's too difficult to keep on coding from 2nd year.

As I am in 1 St sem I didn't know much about it but I know that in our college you can sit for internship after 2nd year . And many of them got ppo . Actually according to senior internship is nothing but a game of luck .But yes there are strong chances that you will get a internship

As a tire one University there are no placement session it's a ongoing process.from 4th sem you are eledible for internship and from 5 th sem you are eligible for placement. There are too many companies that you can't count from tech to core and finance also .I am taking the name of some of them only . Apple. Microsoft. Texus instrument. Airbus.google. Adobe . Capgemini. Paytm phonepa. Flipkart .ICICI bank .PWC and many more about 200 companies come there. Last year the highest package was 87lpa from a ETCE guy and tha avarage package of our college is 11lpa . IN OUR college above 92% get placed last year and in our department it was 100%. I have some other plans actually I am not interested IT placement. I WILL try for core and finance sector.and I have also a plan for a fashion related startup as now I am in 1 St sem I have not decided it well it will take some more time to find out my interest and my capabilities to fit into it

So here in Jadavpur University the best thing is return of investment it's really too good. There is a fees of around 12k for entire 4 years but for IT department it is 1.2L for 4 years. Even the fees is too low but there are scholarship for people who cope up with that fees .like alumni scholarship etc .The alumni is one of the strongest pillar for ju placement they really help a lot in getting placement

So there are two campus in Jadavpur University one is at Jadavpur and another is in saltlake so I am from Salt Lake campus. The camus life is quite decent here. We have annual fest Sanskrit generally conducted in the month of March and Our own tech fest Srijan it's the second largest tech fest in Eastern India. Our library are too good you can find acedamics to self help book all in under one roof there is also AC reading rooms. As our university is aided by state government and the fees are too low so there are not ac in every class room in our department we only have ac in seminar hall. But there are personal desk and too many fans which is quite comfortable in summer. In terms of sports and extra cariculam activity there is a event named U turn where you can express you hidden talents from every sports we know. As students we ar just like family members of our university there are clubs in every domin coding club. IOT club. Photography club.climbing club. Mechatronics club etc

So basically if you wanted to be in Jadavpur University you have give a entrance test for science and arts and WBJEE for engineering stream. You can find the application form from the official website of WBJEE. It is live now The application fees is 500 rupees. Application generally opens in mid December and you can fill up till January end . The exam date is generally on last Sunday of April Yes there is reservation for St SC and obc. But there is no reservation for EWS candidate. Though Everyone through out the country can opted for exam but there is 90% reservation for West Bengal domicile candidates. The admission process is smooth but it's takes a long time so it should be shorted out.
