UEMK - with pros and cons

1. I have chosen this course as there are many streams present in this college, a wide range of stream options are there to avail for. 2. Here, the faculty members are very very helpful, co-operative and friendly I've ever found in my life. Faculties are very interactive with students. 3. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders and their teaching methods are really very understandable and helpful for students. 4. There are two term exams which are usually held before semester exams. Total marks of each term exam is 30 and the cutoff marks is 40%. Usually term question papers are made by campus teachers only but Semester exam question papers are made by the faculties of all three campuses of IEM-UEM group, (IEM Salt Lake Kolkata, UEM Jaipur and UEM, Kolkata)

Actually internships are not offered directly by college. They refer Internshala to do internships on various fields. If you apply for any internship that you've wished for, then according to the company of that internship, you have to work for the given project. You can find internships with stipend amount of your wish.

1. From 5th Semester, students are eligible for Campus Placements. 2. UEM Jaipur offers highest package of 72 Lakhs per year and UEM Kolkata offers highest package of 12.5 Lakhs per year. 3. TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, IBM, Microsoft and some other companies often visited UEM Kolkata campus and other 2 campuses too. I actually don't exactly know the number of offers made by them. But I heard that companies recruit 300 students from each department of UEM Kolkata campus. 4. Last year, above 500 students got placed. 5. My plan is to do higher studies after getting the degree. But I could avail for internships for gathering experiences and knowledge.

1. In the beginning, the admission fees is Rs. 1,10,000. Then, in the rest semesters, you have to pay Rs. 85,000 per semester before the scheduled date in online mode. No offline payment is allowed here. 2. You can apply for Swami Vivekananda scholarship and Kanyashree (for girls only). You can also apply for Student credit card and student loan from bank.

1. The fest, Ureckon is conducted every year in January. 2. You can find each and every technology related books and journals and even some other story books also. 3. Classrooms are very big and spacious. Almost 100 students will be fitted in each classroom. 4. There is the vast facility of many different sports activities like, Cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, Carrom, basketball and many more. 5. Foreign languages are taught in this college. 6. There are several clubs for different activities like Musical club named Symphony, Dancing club, Photography club, Acting club, Coding club, Robotics club, toastmasters club, entrepreneur club and even UEMK Space Observatory club also present in this college. Most interesting thing is that there is a Space Observatory in this college but only in UEM, Kolkata campus.

It will be better if admission fees could be paid in offline mode, as there are many students who don't have any online payment service yet.
