Remarks
Only block timing are the issues. Other things are very good. We have a private beach in college which is exclusively for NITK students. Campus is very large devided in two halves. Mangalore is only 20 km from the college.
Entrance Preview
I wrote jee mains in year 2015 to join this college. There was no interview, admission was totally based on jee mains rank I am studying mining engineering over here. College fascinated me that's why I opt this course
Course Curriculum Overview
Well mining engineering is just awesome. Faculties of this department is the best in NITK. it's a NIT so I guess there is no need to tell about research, every professor is doing some consultancy project. We have many elective options, electives are broadly decided in department electives and other department electives, some are compulsory some are interested based.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't provide internships but there are many companies coming in college to take interns. Stipend varies with company
Placement Experience
Placement scenario is pretty good, every year almost 94% students gets placed with a plaverage package of 7 lpa. Last year almost 250 companies registered for placements.
College Events
Technical fest : ENGINEER cultural fest : INCIDENT Management fest : E-SUMMIT all are pretty good among which incident is one of the top college fests in india
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is very affordable, for the batch of 2015 the total fees is about 4.5 l including everything For my juniors it is increased but there are many scholarships so overall it will be affordable only.

College provide many scholarships, I don't have any but many people have. SBI is there inside the campus to provide easy loans.
Campus Life
There are 30+ clubs in NITK. NITK is awesome if it comes to extra curricular activities, every Saturday and Sunday there will be a college event for sure.
Hostel Facilities
I am residing in a hostel , the food is not good over here but there are plenty of canteens, including night canteens. We are paying 4000 rs for shared rooms and 5000 rs for single rooms per semester. You will get single rooms starting from your second year.
Alumni/Alumna
I have less interaction with alumni . We have a alumni association cell inside the college which provide interaction between both.
Exam Structure
It is a chill culture if you like this things otherwise it may become a burden for you
Faculty
Every faculty is a expert in their areas, all are doctors, standard of teaching is ohk but they are very interactive. Every faculty is indulge in other activities as well like nss or ncc.
