Insight of IIEST

This is good college in India and one of oldest so the faculties are very good and qualified the alumni network is very good .I choose CS here because I got the rank for this college in counselling and has good reviews on internet.the student ratio is also good.the faculties are enough all the branches have good faculties no shortage of faculties and the faculties are also qualified.the faculties have their PHDs in different fields from foreign universities and many are IITians .the exams held are very strict no chance of and. Unfair means but you can pass some subjects like maths many people face difficulty but they did it in supplementary papers

Internships are available if you want to get but quiet hard for core branches in paid internship.many top companies provide internship offers you need to contact professors for internship opportunities they can give best advice and seniors also help to get many internship you can apply for outside also like ONGC pain and unpaid internship in also many PSUs they give opportunity to people form INDIAN institute of engineering science and technology shibpur.as it is also near many industries of Kolkata so many companies give opportunity from college we get summer and winter internships which is dependent on your CGPA it is very high change if you get internship you can secure a good placement. You have to mail the professor of field you want internship and also attach your resume try to make as good resume as you can companies government as well as private are open to give opportunity for internships many state also ask for interns and train them. Students becomes elegible for placements after 4th semester PPO is offered by many companies and at good LPAs from outside India as well as within India .the companies include Microsoft tata consultancy services,the highest lpa is provided by 45 lpa many companies give ppo in cs the average LPA is 19 lpa and around 93 percent placement rate is there .after degree I will join a MNC and pursue my career

The fee is quiet low as compared to any other NITs and at good facilities not like AC Classrooms and past 3 years there is no fee hike so you don't need to worry the cost to study is much less the place is also very very less expensive the food is Cheap and ok quality . college provides scholarships to students form poor background, SCs, STs, girls they get scholarship of different types also the fee for SC and ST is very less as compared to a general Candidate.the placement is also good as per price you pay for CS it is avg 19 LPA so not bad almost all the tech companies offering job letters.many internship opportunities are available. The name of annual fest is REBECCA it is conducted in August month of year it is a huge fest and attraction point of IIEST many students come from different universities to se it.it is a very diverse and cultural rich fest. The library has very good facilities not AC but good sitting area sofa for seniors good books journals for research students .the library is open form 9 am to 12 am night and also on Saturday and Sunday. Classroom has speakers, projectors but not ACs in Summer it is horrible if you didn't like summer avoid but if you like low cold and mostly summers warm so this is a great place because Kolkata is not cold. The campuses oval ground for football cricket Inter nits matches are held there and here football has a huge focus on many northeast people play football so if you have interest you can definitely play in team . The team for civil engineering Student is SOCEE and every branch have their social groups the website they provides study materials by every professors.

The room facilities include wifi and the room is a 4 seater room.the hostel provides you sports equipments we have sports facilities for table tennis, badminton volleyball basketball and cricket . The mess food is not that good but ok the problem is 3 time a day only the meal is provided the menu is decided by mess manager . The hostel registration will be done during admission process and it costs 29500 for first time and 25000 per semester so it is not that high.nearby there are also many PGs are there so you can rent any of if you want at a reasonable price but I will recommend you to get hostel the hostel is not good in this college room is good maintained but compared to other is is bad

To get into CS of IIEST you need to get at least 75 percentage in your 12 board exams.then only you can apply for NITs and IITs so IIEST is also a NIT you need to get 75 in 12 boards.to full the application form you can go to NTA website to fill the application form and give mains exam if you get above 95 you can get branch in iiest but for CS you need to get at least 98.5 in mains and rank below 16K for safe side .if you avail the reservation benefits you will get this college at low ranks and easily and also less fee will be charged
