- I liked the beauty of big campus in Monsoons and at night campus is quiet and too much appealing
- I also liked the late night canteens they are not too hifi but quiet decent and you can eat any thing that you want to in any of canteen
- As There is temple in middle of campus and I really liked that to much
Dislikes
- No vast markets are close by we have to travel to Lanka (BHU Gate) to get something of major amenity
- Senior junior culture is not that developed so had to figure out a way to interact with your seniors to get their advices
- Campus feels old and boring due to its legacy of more than 100 years as building are quite old
Course Curriculum Overview
I am studying Metallurgy from IIT BHU. Here most of the Professors are strict and funfact is that almost 70% of professors are bengalis so a long weekend off during Durga pooja. Most of the professors are well educated and you can't even judge how much they have contibuted to their fields. Most of the profs are strict so they made really tough exams which will be hard to pass with low level of concentration
Placement Experience
IIT BHU placements are among top IIT's in India with decent average package and if you are well skilled you may get Decent international Package. This year almost 400+ companies visited. Every big company startup visit campus So yes in which which ever branch you are in if you work hard and has a CGPA above 8 then you can crack a well paying job
Fees and Financial Aid
Well fees is good enough if you belong to general category because total fees per sem will cost you about 1.2 lakhs . But you can reduce this by providing income proof or ITR details to the college and easy fee remission form can be filled . Well college provide scholarship but not too much . So if fee remission does not happen you will have to ely on other scholarship which an IITIAN wil get easily. But fee remission is easy
Campus Life
Well in IIT BHU there are many events and clubs that hold many activities for personal growth of students . Also We have vast big Library with attached reading rooms for students to study peacefully. Also campus has a big Students Activity Centre so there anyone can play any sort of sport
Hostel Facilities
Well IIT BHU has the best fppd among other IIT's ,so food is not an issue. But due to old infrastructure some hostels are too old and look antiquee . On the other hand there are new hostels building in construction and will be ready by last of this year . That will solve a majority of issue about old Infrastucture
Admission
Well, I have cleared JEE Advance so for that I studied and cleared basic cutoff for getting admission in IIT BHU. After that I used EWS Rank for getting a reserved seat which quotes only 10% seats only.
