Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at IIEST (Indian Institutes of Engineering Science and Technology) can vary depending on the specific program and department. All the first year students of all departments are grouped together and taught some basic engineering subjects.First year has a chance of branch change by getting good cgpa Faculty members are good and qualified. They go with the course structure pretty well..

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship do come in our college. Many people even intern in big techs like Google, Microsoft,Media.Net and many more.Even students from non it branch get a internship and the stipend is quite good too.Coding culture is good so people who are interested in cracking interviews can easily do so because of availability of guidance from good seniors

Placement Experience

4

College placement is good.Campus placements are offered. Most people take campus placement as their future career paths. Campus placement are very good for computer science and it departments.People also prefer for CAT and UPSC from these college and also research opportunities are good here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Jobs at iiest are offered on campus and also there are off campus opportunity. The average package is pretty good(11lpa).For computer science it is 20lpa.Tuition fees waiver is given by collage in which students having less than 1lakh income get a full waiver and students having less than 5 lakhs income yearly get a 2/3 fees waiver.Full fees waiver is given to Sc/St irrespective of income. Many scholarship are given by schemes from GAABESU and many more.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure is not that modern but gives a vibe of old college just as it should be as it is the second oldest engineering college of India. So liking it based on infrastructure is subjective. There are lot of clubs and the interaction between clubs and people is good.Seniors are very helpful. Social life is great as in a nit great mind from different places of india meet.Seniors are helpful and supportive.

Admission

The admission process was through national counseling done by two major groups josaa and csab.People have to get a quite good percentile in jee mains to get into this college.Computer Science and technology has a cutoff of 12k for general.

Other Applied Colleges

National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Low nirf ranking and decreasing every year. Some passed outs have bad reviews for hostel and faculties.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
