I feel read Electrical engineering as my passion. So , I have enjoyed lots during my whole engineering. Faculty of 1st 1st year basic science department was awesome & inspiring. They always supported keep beyond everything with conceptually & confidently. Faculty of the core Electrical dept was good except 2-3 faculty. Maximum faculties are hardworking , supportive passoinating & experienced. They even sometimes gives extra classes if they get any gap between. Internal questions comes from their notes / classes as usual . But no cheating is allowed neither in internal nor in semester exams. Gaurd of the exams are even tougher than 10th ,12th standard board exams.

After 6th sem sem companies enters into the college for hiring. What I personally understood that placement goes into 3 parts. In first part maximum mncs comes with 4-8 lpa package here mass hiring happens for cs-it ece or 20-30% from core branches. In 2nd part start up based and core companies comes after 7th sem they just hire limited people . In 3rd part where those students are not got any job upto that college want to push them any kind of job to show the new batch 100% placement record. In this part sales & marketing based comes . They takes significant students but , those who are placed in these companies max times not joines the company. In our college the gap between highest package & avarege package is quite high due to the in accurate placement support for core branches.

Fees was 40k in 1st year year & each year fees were increased 1k per year. During study your can apply any kind of scholarship scheme where your personal qualification or personally eligible for application. You will not get any chance to blame due to the college undereating your are nat able to any particular scholarship or fees waiver program.In college even there is separate nodal dept to verify the students scholarship details upload on the portal. Your can apply any kind of loan easily . College account dept assist // supports the students to get glitch free loan by providing all the documents fast forward that's needs to get a loan. You can also apply for west bengal students credit card with lessor interest, scheme provided by west bengal govt. by Collaboration with banks. Placement support for CSE-IT is good but not good enough for core dept like EE, ME. I got 1.8L starting package from Rashmi Metaliks with 40% hike after the 6 months of training period.

There are many clubs in college like Rotaract club ,dance club , music club. Rotaract club of mckvie do some crazy helps to the poor family to the local area. I personally like their helpful events. Almost all the curricular books are available in library but not updated not the cathchy books are available . But college authoritiy charges 5k per sem for library. Im personally disappointed by library support system. Each year technical events organised by 3rd or final year students. Many outer students also takes part of the event named technotica .

To get admission in Mckv Institute of Engineering you have to give either West Bengal joint entrance exam or all India joint entrance exam. Also direct admission is available for admission for that you have contact college management. Admission goes through the councelling ofwest bengal joint entrance board , where all india JEE & Wbjee both candidates can apply for counseling . Even those who have given both the exams apply with both ranking & get College on the basis of both the ranking preference. Direct admission goes upto registration closing that upto Durga or Kali Puja sometimes registration closed beyond the puja. 5-10% for resurved category students get preference in each dept. & 2-3 students get Tution fees waiver from each branch . Students who get equal or more than 85% in 1st year also get chance to change the branch in 3rd sem.
