Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was very nice. I chose this course because I have an interest in electrical engineering. The faculty of the electrical department is very good. Students have to prepare sincerely for the semester exam.

Many company came in college like TCS , Infosys, persistent , tech Mahindra etc came in college . There are many projects offered by company . Internships opportunities are very nice . Student got benifit for internship

Fee structure of electrical department is rs 496000 . There is many opportunity of scholarship. If you prepare semester exam sincerely. You have got scholarship easily . Students of this college get many internship opportunity.

Campus Life

The annual fest of this college was very nice students enjoy a lot in fest . There is many good books in library . Sports facilities are very good . Students of this college play a lot of games like cricket and volleyball.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is very good . There are AC and non AC rooms in hostel. Students of first year also took benifit of balcony . Mess food is very hygienic and good . The registration process of hostel is very nice .

Admission

You need atleast 60% in PCM, Admission process is very nice . Student got admission for webjee or jee mains exams. many students applied from direct admission in this college .West bengal students got SC category benifit.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
