College review

I had chosen this college just because the admission cell locked my name here during the counseling process. Thus I couldn't got a single chance to move for another college. The faculty here is below average. Not everyone, but some of them are very irresponsible. They never provide us with any information given from the management at time. The teachers basically get confused in each and every stage while teaching. They can only do one thing and that is threatening the students and pressuring them with different kinds of fine fees. There are 4 internal theory exams and 2 practical. Apart from this, the semester theory exam occurs after every 6 months and the final practical occurs a week before the theory. MAKAUT never makes it difficult to pass for a student if he/she studies each and everything line by line. You just have to fill the whole answersheet to get good marks.

This college provides an internship opportunity at their own company. But I would say please don't go for it. Better be jobless. You'll be provided with the information that you have to choose your final year project from 3rd year and start that which is a good side.

For placement, students can apply for off campus interviews. That'll be the best. Because college can't provide good placement opportunity. As of from college side, they'll provide you with internship from 3rd year. The highest package till date is 12lakhs per year which is also off campus. There is only a few students who got placement in this year i.e. 2023. Thus some plan for higher studies and some find jobs like finding sugar from rice.

The fees structure is simple. You have to pay in every 6 months. But if you're late, they'll fine you. Which I found is a bad side because there are also some students who can't pay the whole fee together. So they should consider them. There is also a good scholarship opportunity. Most of the students here get the SVMCM Scholarship. You can also take student loans through Student Credit Card. There is an alloted teacher who'll guide you with this whole process. Here, on campus jobs are ok but they're not very satisfactory. The package here starts with 2-3lakhs per year. That means 25k-33k per month. What is the value of 25k nowadays?! College can't afford on campus jobs with satisfying salary.

Campus life is here is good. There are students who conduct annual fest every year at the month of March or April. Apart from this there is also freshers and many other programs. The library will provide you with your required books. You've to maintain 75%-80% attendance every month. Otherwise you'll be fined. There is a big ground where you can play any sports you want. The college is actually good at sports and extra curricular activities than education. There are seniors who conduct coding competitions within the campus which is good for the students only.

The hostel I live is the ex-hostel of our college. But there is a new hostel where the batches from 2022 stays. The rent is Rs. 4,500 per month. They'll provide you 4time food. The meal quality is average. Sometimes the quality increases sometimes decreases to the worst. The rooms are also quiet good. The registration of the hostel is done by the college only.

So basically I got into this college thorough WBJEE counseling. What the did is locked my name in this college and I didn't get another chance to have counseling sessions for any other colleges. The eligibility of any course you take is 65%. The admission cell of the college provides application form, the brochure and all other details. But I've never got any reservation benefits. Not only me but any other student who is not from the counseling process also didn't got any reservation benefits. Firstly I would like the college to be more obedient. For a student who can't afford much money, the can apply for this college without any doubt. But if anyone cam afford a bit higher fees, please ignore this college. I sometimes regret my decision of taking admission here.
