Course Curriculum Overview

Not all teachers are good, some just pretend to be good but are really bad at teaching, being brutally honest I only understand in discrete class rest all other classes are waste of time. Which apprently engineering is meant to be

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Really bad for you if you're not from West Bengal. The fees is more than 50k per semester and they don't even provide anything of that level. They cost 79k and additional 2k for ever semester it had hiked because our senior paid around 75k

Campus Life

They have 2 annual fest, but they are not quite as huge as Umang (bhawanipur) or mood indigo kind. They are very simple yet the best fest to attend. They have lots of social groups still being a member of them is quite difficult

Admission

I had to clear an exam called wbjee in order to get into any colleges in west Bengal, the exam is pretty easy if you have prepared for jee. You need be in 12th or a dropper but I don't think it's compulsory because the number of attempts in webjee is unlimited

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
