Making memories unknowingly

I think that college authorities should enhance the methods of learning and impart practical knowledge as much as possible.

I got admission into,this college on the basis of my jee rank. Direct counselling was held and admissions were taken on the basis of ranks. I also dream to be an engineer. Thus i opted for this course.

I think focus on imparting practical knowledge is less. Even in the field of engineering we are made to read theoretical books instead of focusing on practical learning. We can only gather practical knowledge by joining other computer related courses outside of college.

Internships are not provided by the college. We can apply for an internship on our own. There is no role of college in helping students with internship procedure.

Placements is a plus point in our institution. Many companies visit our college for placements. A student having an average of 70% is eligible. Companies such as infosys,tcs, accenture come for the placement drive offering an average package of 3.5 lakhs.

One cultural fest named genesis is held annually with great zeal. Many celebrities visit our college during this fest. And a technical event named atharva is also organised which offers exciting prices to the winners.

There is a big difference between what a general category student pays and what reserved category students pay. The fee per semester accounts to be INR50,000 for a general category student whereas its only INR 10,000 for reserved ones.

I was not eligible for any scholarships. Only the reserved categories were.

Yes other fun events are held on a regular basis. and have participated and won prizes in many of them. Other than that our college students won the overall trophy in the youth fest.

I am not a hosteller. But have been to hostel many times. Rooms are on sharing but really clumsy. Food provided is good. But quality of rooms need to be improvised.

Our college works for this and our interaction with our alumni is good. The college provides a proper platform for student-alumni interaction. The alumni contribute in the overall development of the college as well as the students. They visit our college and share their current and past experiences.

Examination are just like swords hanging on our necks. Three mid semester tests and an end semester exams. Each month examinations. So many assignments and lab files.

No doubt teachers are highly educated and qualified but there is a huge age gap which makes interaction with teachers almost impossible. They are still stick to the old ways ie. Theoretical learning. I believe in the field of IT which is growing really at a high rate, teaching methods need to be change. There is no scope of theoretical knowledge in this field.this is where our institution lacks.
