Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because IT is now a emarging technology. It is very easier to get a job in this field .The faculty student ratio is about 8:1 . The faculty are highly qualified and excellent in their theaching skill. The terms exams held very timely as this college is an autonomous college so the college schedule its exam . It is not so difficult to pass the exams if you study properly and follow the instructions of the faculties.
Internships Opportunities
It generally depends on students and stipend depends on the companines they are applying.Various roles such as MERN developer , SDE opportunities are provided to students.Students have qualified for internships in Companies such as Dualite , Microsoft , Amazon, etc.
Placement Experience
Generally from third yr students are eligible for internships and on campus placements . This year students get several internship and placements in big Companies such as Amazon , Microsoft , Atlasian , L&T etc. Last year highest package was 63LPA and this year is 60LPA till now. Average package is 5LPA - 10LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of this college is not so high as this college is funded by the Government of West Bengal. The fees of CSE and ECE is about 15k per annum. And the fees of EE , ME and CE is around 10k per annum. As IT is the new compare to the other branches so its fees is high . It is around 30k per annum. Many Scholarships are available in this college. There are various Scholarships which are offered by our allumni.
Campus Life
There are two main fests occur in this college one is JECLAT the annual fest and SHRISTI the tech fest. JECLAT is happend around April or June and the SHRISTI is occur around August. There are various clubs in our college likes ,"Divide & Conquer"- the coding club , "Pandulipi"-the magazine club, "Calliphony"-the music club ,"Wavezz"-the dance club ,"Space & Aeronautics activity center ","Art club",Sports club", "Center for Innovation" ,"Trekker's club", "GDSC", "IEEE" etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilittes are good as expected in government hostel . In First year and second year hostel we have three students share hostel room . In third year we have two students share hostel room . And in fourth year we have single room for all students. Hostel food is average . Hostel registration process is very smooth.
Admission
One can get this college only through WBJEE. After the joint entrance exam you have to appear for online councelling of WBJEEB and then if your general rank is fair enough to get this branch you will get this college as wel as the brnch . All the necessary rules for the online councelling will be found in the official website of WBJEEB . There are three round in this councellling , last one is the mop-up round . and if you still couldn't get this college through online councelling there is also a decentralize councelling conducted by the college itself.
