Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical engineering is student friendly and has curicullum related to my previous studies. faculty:student ratio is 1:2. the teachers are well qualified from prestigious institutions like IITs,NITs,IIITs, Jadavpur Uni,etc . Teacgers pedagogy are fabuluos. we have two semster exams and two internals in each sem for each subjects, exams are pretty easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
L and, amazon ,google,microsoft, tata,etc companies offer stipend or you can apply for research based interns in IITs for example, IIT kharapur,IIT Jodhpur, Jdavpur ,etc projects are discussed with professros personally and outcomes are really good in our collge and tasks are clarified as soon as they are presented.
Placement Experience
from the sixth sem you are eligible to appear for college placements. comapnies include ericsson, l and t, tata,etc highest apckage-60lacs average-7 lacs. percentage of studenta getting palcement is around -99%. my palns after getting a degree is to open a company.
Fees and Financial Aid
no fess hike cost of study is very less for any government college with just prestigoius background SVMCM SCHOLARSHIP, AND FEE WAVIER FOR TFw STUDENTS. i am a 2nd year student so till now i have not applied for any jobs
Campus Life
We ahve two type of annual fest name- JECLAT(cultural fest),SRISTI(Tech fest). Books are available in our college main library,and another big library is under constructiion. journals are too available in our library. classrooms are pretty good. sports and extracurricular activites have sheer importance in our campus. many clubs are run by students name- CFI,SAAC,DIVIDE AND CONQUER,ETC.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities provided in the room are duar e grocery , rooms are very spacoius. meal qaulity is very very good , you taste our college hostel food you will lick your fingers. resgistration process and affordabilty will be discussed ain the college website after you have applied and completed your admission process. mess and pgs are readily available near our campus.
Admission
You have to appear for WBJEE examination TO FIND APPLICATION FORM YOU SHOULD CHECK THE COLLEGE WEBSITE FOR THE DETAILS SAME IS APPLICABLE FOR APPLICATION FEES AND APPLICATION DATES Reservartion benefits are provided according to the WBJEE board The admission process is good but time consuming and slow, if the process becomes fast it would be better for the students.
