Dislikes
- Size of the Playground, there is only one ground in the university & also the size of it is very small.
- No cultural fest for almost 2 years. so the college life is getting boring.
- The locality of the college. although the environment inside the campus is very neat & clean but when you just step your feet outside campus gate it get dirtier, there is also a dumping area beside the road.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this CSE field because i love coding & tech. related things. faculty members are good & well qualified. Most of them are graduated or post graduated from IITs, NITs or a well known colleges. all of them a very help full a cooperative, You can always seek for some help from them. except the first two semesters, we have a semester gape of 6months & there is also a mid sem exam & a end sem exam for every semester. I an my time the sem 1 & 2 is finished very quickly because for our late admission process affected due to the covid. There is also some for faculty members, who are very leasy & won't take classes regularly but most of them are good.
Internships Opportunities
Till i didn't get any internship opportunities as it start from 3rd year, but currently i am in 2nd year. But i got know from my seniours that college provide a good interships opportunities from 3rd year for the capable students.
Placement Experience
Student form 6, 7, 8 are eligible from placement in our college. Till I didn't get any placement because I am currently in sem 4. Companies like wipro, tcs, outlook, paytm, tech mahindra, cognizant, cipla, etc visit the University almost every year Avg. package of jis university is 4.5lpa & highest is 7lpa till 2023. 50.79% is the placement rate for jis university. Plan after getting the degree is to getting a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is good, not too high as compare to other engineering private universities. I got 10% scholarship on the basis of my 12th marks. You can also apply fro govt. scholarships like SVMCM for the people from west bengal scholarship for national scholarship for peoples from all over india.
Campus Life
The University library is quit spacious & you will find lot of books almost of every subject. The sports and extra curricular activities id also good, you will find different cultural clubs like dance, singing, sports, coding etc. there is also a sports annual meet (jis samman) for all the colleges under jis group. sports like cricket, football, athletic, volleyball was played there. coming to the most negative aspect of the college, it doesn't organise any cultural fest since I took addmission. there wasn't any freshers party from the university but i got a departmental one. There is a tech fest organise by jdsc club of our university.
Admission
Addmission was based on my 12th board result, their also 10% scholarship based on my class 12th marks, they also took addmissions on the basis of your rankings in WBJEE & JEE mains. You can find the application form on official website of 'jis group' & 'jis university'. for you can also physically come to the university for detail information of application fees, date etc. I don't think there is any Reservation Benefits as it is a private university. The admission process is good !!
