This is a very unique Engineering course, provided in the field of agriculture. This course is totally designed for the future Agri-tech innovators. Scope of Higher Studies in this field is better than other fields. Faculty : Student ratio - 1: 6 All Faculties are well qualified and have M.Tech or PhD degree from reputed Institutes like IITs and NITs. Time schedule for term exams are not good and really difficult to pass the semester examination.

There is a huge scope for Internships both are in Government sectors or various private companies like Britannia, Amul etc. There are two trainings in the course. One training is for Farm Machinery and other is for Soil and Water conservation Engineering or Food Engineering.

Total fees for 4 years is around Rs. 1,60,000 (including Hostel) Semester fees for 1st Semester is around Rs. 20,000 and for 2nd to 8th Semester is around Rs 13,000. Avaliable Scholarships: SVMC (SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MERIT CUM SCHOLARSHIP) University Scholarship (not for SVMC candidates)

Fests: Freshers, Social, Vishwakarma Pujo, Saraswati Pujo. Library facilities: Central Library is very good, and the availability of books &Journals are are also good. There is a huge scope of extra curricular activities in UBKV. UBKV' s students are always participate in various National and State level competition like ICAR's Agri-fest, IIT KGP's Prakriti etc. Sports and Gym facilities are very good. UBKV has various cultural clubs ,and a Facebook channel called " UTTARA " .

Room capacity: 2 to 3 students in a room. Hostel's conditions are not good. Quality of the meal of Hostel is not so good. You can apply for the Hostel along with the time of physical admission. Locality is also good and helpful.
