Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course Curriculam is Actually very upto date . As every college here also you will have to self-study on your own . Don't expect TEachers to spoon feed you , even the faculty members vary , you will see some hardly 1 or 2 very knowleadgeble and othe others ot able to make you understand or teach , i dont have any problem with the subjects because i have compared with other collges it is very mych alike and up to date according to your required jobs but the thing is that you will have to do every way poosible to score and land on a good job on your own , during hackathons and all you can take mentorship from your desired faculty but as u know politics , you literally have to be pet of that favulty then and always keep oiling them and all. If you attend classes and take the notes that they give by taking help of youtube and being consistent with proper planning you can easily pass semester exams with 2-1 days of preparation , just take the pressure and be patient. Faculties are crap

Internships Opportunities

3

I am still not in the semester to get an internship from college, but same as placements on camous internships are hard to get and have basic criterias like cgpa and no backlog. If you communicate with your faculties and have good relation with them , if you project is capable of making headlines then thwy will surely publish it for conference papers , they will encourage you also to do it , many programs and fdpa and international conferences are held by the university, if your project is capable you also hold the chance of the publictaion of papers of your project through these international conferences the problem is that nobody goes there because of assignment and sememster exams pressure. Most important thing is your capability in whichever college you go.

Placement Experience

2

Most of the seniors i have heard have got placemnets either of campur or on campus . Students become eligible for campus placements from fourth year and from 3rd year you can sit for internships. Companies like TCS , Wipro, Accenture, Cappegemini, as you all know these companies visit in most colleges , so they visit , there are many unknown companies o which i don't know the names , they also visit but most of the students prefer off campus placements rather than on campus. Highest package is modt probably 18lpa as of heard by me, it is an off campus placemnt , someone bagged it in Amazon. If You want to sit in on campus placements be sure to have a cgpa between 8-9.9 because companies visiting drw a limit there and filter out students from there and with no backlogs in your result. Many don't even sit for pacemnts for gate preparation but the competetion is going to be tough because the no. of students per batch is increasing following every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you are from bengal board you will get Swami Vivekananda Scholarship provided by the bengal government , for central government board r or private school students it may not be as easy to land a scholarship but they provide you with a cost reduction of tution fee of each sem in the name of scholarship during admission process and all which i have already duscussed in the admisiion process section you will know that. , I am currently in 4th sem so i didnot still go to placements. Cost of study is equal to oyher private colleges throughout bengal and the fee hike for each year's batch works also accorsing to what other collegs are doing. You can apply for student credit card provided by bengal government which is also accepted namely student loans.

Campus Life

2

Infrastructure is very bad according to my opinion.I don't know about other colleges accross india but here they will not provide you with any assistance you will just have to be stick through behind for the things you want and keep them reminding again and again. It sometimes also feels irritating because the managemnt commity doesnot have proper coordination neither wuth the stuednts nor even the faculty members . In the End it is just that you will have to be responsible and do what you are doing , you will have to tae care of your own need and contact them only during college hours and not during weekends.Make use of the library because they charge library fees, and you will get enough journals and study materials in library & the ambiance of library is also good.Class rooms are quite good according to me compared to other colleges,it's just that many a times you will have lack of space to fit in a classrooms cuz they are not spacious. No website run by students.

Admission

You should atleast have 70 percent in 12th boards and 10th boards for admission in B.Tech.Based on your percentage in the boards they will offer you scholarship from college which implies that you will have a deduction of that much percentage from your regular fees when you pay acccording to the score of you 12th boards , Eg: if you have 70 to 80 they will offer you 10 perent scholarship means your regular tution fees for each sem will be reduced by 10 % when you pay , for 80-90 % it will be 20% and so on. Here you can also apply with your WBJEE,JEE MAINS score as well as without appearing in those exams because it doesn't matter as they provide you with their universitie's very own admission entrance exam wich is JET.You will hear about this from the admission cell, irrespective of you appearing through Jee scores or without it is mandatory for you to give that exam and even pass in it, It gets conducted on a TCS platform due to the collab of TCS and university on avery close level.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
