Remarks

Overall, civil department is really good with actual experienced teachers and guidance. It was rewarding for me and intense.

Entrance Preview

I got in through CET. I wanted to solve the problem of low cost housing. That made me chose civil engineering. It is what my family Buisness has been for years and j was pretty comfortable with it

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was pretty good. From third year I started working part time in a construction firm in order to aquire practical experience. Electives are earthquake engineering and Operation research

Internships Opportunities

No internships in Savitri bai Phule pune university. We tried to take this issue up with the management and it is being resolved.

Placement Experience

Placement was low for Civil engineering. Close to 0%. In departments like computer and IT it was 30%. And the avatar pay is around 200000 package.

There is Force for civil, itizza for IT and Mecheaven for Mechanical. The footfall was not that great. Cultural fest is below average with a footfall of around 6000

It was Rs. 71635/ year. There were a lot of schemes for lower middle class students like scholarships and concessions for SC and ST students.

It was intense. Attendance more than 75%. It varies from department to department though.

K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering, Nashik has some of the best and most educated teachers in the entire pune university. They are very experienced and very interactive. Not just in the class but the faculty encouraged us to participate in a lot of external computations and activities.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Placement Experience:

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. I'm sure being a student of such prestigious college with help me alot.

Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT.
