Remarks
I think the college should improve their academic structure by bringing in more experienced faculty members. And the main thing the students have to improve is to grow their communication skills beside their knowledge.
Entrance Preview
Through WBJEE I had got a chance to study in JGEC by securing a well general merit rank in ECE department. The admission process was similar as in the other colleges. It was my long days' dream to study in electronics related to science fiction, technology etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
In this college the B.Tech course is actually less than my expectation. Due to an improper hometown place, there is a minus point of this college to grow. Practical learning is not so improved due to inadequate kits.
Internships Opportunities
In this year, the college had organized an internship programme in our campus which was actually maintained by the departmental HODs and our college principal. Moreover the students themselves do internship on their interested topics wherever they want. Most of the internships are basically unpaid but the certificates are very useful basically while campusing.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is quite uniform in the last years. Mostly visited companies that visit our college include TCS, CTS, SPCL etc. Those are mainly mass recruiter companies. So according to the last few years' scenario, it has been seen that about 55%-60% students have got placed. The average package belongs around 4 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As this is a Government college, the fee structure is not so much expensive. Total fees for 1st year is Rs.22000 and Rs.15451 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year each.
Faculty
Faculty problems only in my department. The rest departments have still better faculty network than ECE deyartment. But it can be said that my department's HOD is well qualified and very helpful to us. So there is one plus point that if any problem in study, we can get better solution from our HOD.
