College provides good theoretical education, good practical knowledge and also provides enough placement opportunities.

I took admission into this college by WBJEE. My reason for opting this college was that I wanted to pursue Electrical engineering and Techno India was the best college available considering my rank. I didn't go for Heritage as 2012 was the first Electrical batch.

This college follows WBUT curriculum like any other engineering college in West Bengal. Admission to Techno India University has also started from 2013 academic year.

We were given vocational training at CESC Mains department. There are many companies to chose from for internship /vocational training. Some of them are INDIAN OIL, WBSEDCL, WBSETCL, WBPDCL, CESC MAINS AND GENERATIONS, COAL INDIA, SAIL, ETC. Internship duration and stipend depends on the stream.

Cultural Fest Tech Fest I. E. Anachronous is celebrated at every even semester during the month of Jan/Feb. Many contests are arranged for student participation including computer game like Counter Strike, FIFA, NEED FOR SPEED, etc. Management Fest Inauguration Day

Government has capped the semester fees for all colleges under wbut. So it's almost same at all the colleges. Each semester is around 38000-40000. For four years, you'll have to spend around 3.5-4 lacs. (excluding hostel)

Most banks offer educational loan for studying engineering in Techno India. The college campus has a Punjab National Bank in its campus which provide loan as well as other banking activities to the students as well as the staffs of the college. There are also different scholarships available. You need to contact accounts department.

Campus life is fantastic in Techno India. There are many student groups who organise robotics, gaming competitions etc every now and then. And then there are fests. Student from different states come to Techno India. You'll find students from Bihar, Jharkhand, and from many outskirt city of West Bengal. No political groups are present.

The college doesn't have any hostel of its own. But there are many paying guest mess available in Salt Lake/ chingrighata area. Folding and lodging will cost around 4000 per month in a decent pg.

Every batch is connected by social networks like Facebook, whatsapp, etc. The senior also arranges unofficial tours for their respective departments. You can also find the passout near the campus as the college is placed in the IT Hub ie. Salt Lake. The seniors are helpful provided you have given your introduction correctly in your first few days of college.

There are two internals in every semester followed by a wbut semester exam. Out of 5 working days, 4 days will have lab. Mostly in the second half of the day.

Standard of education is very high and the faculties in every department is very qualified. Electrical Department has around 20 professors along with 10-15 lab attendants.
