for engineering: one needs to crack the entrance of WBJEE in order to get admission. one needs to secure a general rank within 5000, to get to J.U. after the counselling process you will be admitted to the college on the basis of merit list. once you are done with counselling process and you are allotted with a branch, one can go to the college on the mentioned date and get admission. after the three round of counselling, a special fourth round is conducted if seats are vacant. for arts: one needs to fill up forms, and wait for the merit list for some subjects. others one needs to give admission test for. then on the basis of admission test and your board's marks you will be shortlisted. and then admitted if you fulfil the giving criteria then.
