College with good values

Jadavpur University is nice college with better education, providing good placement, supporting many cultural, social activities and club.

I got admission in this college through WBJEE. There were 3 counselling round and further if any seats left then spot admission is also provided. I likes to code.

My department is Information Technology. The courses on this department is both theoretical and practical. Every semester we have three lab subjects in which we practice what has been taught. We can do research on our own or under our professor. The Professor are also co-operative with the students. Moreover, we have very good senior. They also help and supports us we wants and approach to them.

Jadavpur University provide summer internship to the student for 2 months. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Visa, GE digital, PWC takes students as intern for 2 months in Bangalore (major). Average amount 25-30K per months. Few company provide travel allowance too.

Our college placement drive continue whole year. Big companies like Microsoft, Samsung, sales force, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Visa, Ge Digital, PWC and many more comes to our college and takes students offering them attractive package ranging from 4-40Lakhs. However few students goes for higher studies so placement is not 100%. we manage numerous cultural events. from our club and society meets and events to fresher and tech fest and our annual cultural fest, we conduct it all.

The fee of Information Technology is 30500 per year. (for the first year, it is paid while taking admission and for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year it is paid in the month of November).

Our college provide scholarship. I didn't availed any. I don't know anything regarding loan.

Our college provides many club and sports activities like chess, carrom, table tennis, dance, drama, music, basketball, football, cricket, mountaineering, etc. Even in every fest we get a platform to compete with each other. Once in a year Srijan a tech fest, organised by us, takes place in which we compete with students from other colleges. Our college organise many workshop.

I don't know much about hostel room as I live in my home. They provide rooms to PG student. Rooms can be shared by friend.

We have a nice interaction with our alumni. Every year we invite them in our college. They are very co-operative and supports us when we have a problem.

Labs classes take place as written in the routine. But lab evaluation and exam is very flexible. Even we gets the opportunities to decide which subject is to choosen in which date (dates are given by University) after having group discussion in our class. In short, the culture is chill.

Most of the professor have taken PhD in their field and they do research and many journals, article have also been publised by them. They give us the practical example so that we can relate it with current situation. We can also do some research or project under them.
