Remarks

As a government engineering college with a nice location it has every points that an engineering college should have. It also tries and works hard to upvote its position.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for west bengal joint exam and secured a merit rank of 6500 and through e counselling got admission to leather technology company in department of IT

Course Curriculum Overview

I am satisfied with my course since now company recruitment is mostly for software companies. Moreover I am able to learn and know all facts related to the software technology world.

Internships are offered and are made by students. Hard working and deserving candidates opt for intern and easily crack them with their own capbility.

Companies mainly software and leather comes to our college. Companies like TCS, CTS, cognizant and raymond mainly comes for recruitment here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are 3 departments namely IT cse and leather technology. IT has a fees of 12000 cse has 6000 and leather 3000 rupees foe semester. And there is no hostel accomodation.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

At first, I complete my 12th exam in science. Then I attended the WBJEE exam. After I good score on the WBJEE exam then I go to the counseling process.
