About college life

college is in the city close to most of the luxury facilities,the college teaching is average,college does not provide hostel or PG facility for outstation student ,college has a good heritage of coming first from the past 6 years from mangalore university which determines the result and the quality teaching provided when compared to other college which provide this course in mangalore

no i did not write any entrance examinatiom to enter this course u just need a degree that u passed your second puc public examination was more than enough and the course can be attained by any puc background as it does not matter if you have come from science background or commerce background or arts background to attain this course.there was a small interview just for some references and availaibility of seat discussion with the senior faculty members or even the principal .i had interests in architecture field but did not get a seat in that field hence chose interior designing as it was close to do something with architecture but in the indoors .

interior designing mainly focuses on the inner part and interior spaces .we spend most of the time indoors as the main aspect of our course is to beautify a the interior space or the place u live in into good and better ,comfortable and tidy place shree devi college of interior design offers training in this course theoretically as well as practically which helps the students to grasp well and end getting into a good path.

the college provides internship for a very few brilliant students judging upon their academics performance whether they can be provided a job as a lecturer and at the starting the student joined as the lecturer will get a handfull of 20000 INR TO 30000 INR depending upon the results of the upcoming students or the result of the class.

placements are a real problem here as no good companies come here the students who graduate from this course again go up for higher studies in search of better jobs with better salaries ,the students should be very particular with their academics to be placed by the company which visits our college about 40% of the students get placed in the college campus selections rest of the students try or will pursue higher degrees for better opportunities.

the fests or events in this college are a little less when comapared to the shree devi institute of technology engineering college ,buy for the fests conducted in our college we enjoy a lot as we are free most of the time the subjects are not so hectic and the examination tension is less when compare dto other college .the college contributes a lot for all this events and fests.

it is affordable course when compared to other courses shree devi college of interior design which offers the course of bsc interior designing is upto a period of 4 years which costs about 45000 INR per year .the college a;so provides some concession for financially poor students depending upon thier performances in second puc

college provides scholarship for financially and economically poor students they also deduct fees for such students depending u[on the performances of the students ,yes the college provides scholarship on the basis of academics ,college provides some help in the sanction of the load provide information required

we get a lot of opportunities in the fests and events as the course is stress free,and most of the time we spend it wasting , we get a lot of opportunities to execute our talents they provide extra facilities when the college gets to about this exploration of the talents .

no our college shree devi college of interior designing does not provide hostel facilities unlike the engineering college shree devi institute of technology ,i live in a PG .its a house consisting of 10 people and 12000 INR is the rental fees which has to be paid by us to the owners ,we prepare our own food as we did not opt for food over there

i hve spoke to a lot with the alumni they have given mixed reactions about the college some have liked their experience some have not yes they have given some funding amount at the end for the development of the college and the students

there are examinations conducted for each semester which consists of the internals and all ,but not a burden because the course is consists of very light subjects and easier to score but the exams cannot be neglected as it will be a remark in our papers which will be a problem for future references .there was no feeling tired as there were not a lot of examination to stress us out or can be said it was a chill culture there not to be worried a lot when examinations are near.

shree devi college of interior designing consists of a faculty having young and energetic people .who are very friendly and understanding to the students .the teaching is not very advanced as others but u can understand the concepts very well upto the mark if you are attentive as the faculty members are not that experienced.the classes are fun as the course is having light subjects which can be studies a lot easily .the teaching in this college is okay not very good or bad either it is in the moderate scale.
