Course Curriculum Overview

I choose EEE because it is an ever green branch. The faculty of the students ratio is much not difference. It is approximately 1:20. Most of the faculties are M.Tech and PhD.holder. This college runs under Makaut university. Besides this, a few internal exams are held in this college.

Internships Opportunities

Renowned companies are offered internships at this college. In the 3rd year, students are offered internships. In the final year, there is a project for all the students. The project is much much important to get a job.

Placement Experience

After completing the 6th sem a student becomes eligible for campus placement. Basically, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, IBM, KPIT, and Infosis there are lots of companies are visited on the campus of this college. The highest package is 10lkhs per annum and the average package is more or less 4lkhs per annum. 90 percent of the students are getting placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of this college is approximately 4lakhs. So, studying at this college is not much costly because it is situated outside of Kolkata. The college approve government scholarship (SVMCM). Most of the students get a job in the campus placement.

Campus Life

Only one fest is conducted in this college. The fest is generally named' ARCADIA'. Basically, in march it is held. There are a huge number of books are available in the library. The classrooms are looking very beautiful and they are nicely decorated. Students are played verious games like - Cricket, Football, Volleyball and Basketball. There are many coding clubs and sports club are available in this college.

Admission

The aligibilty of the course is to attempt join entrance examination (WBJEE) and pass it with a good rank. I found the application from on a college campus. I took admitted in the year of 2022. At this time, Our application fee is 64700.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

Academy of technology Reality check

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
