Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become an engineer since clasd 10 days. In this college the faculties are well educated and nice. Teaching method is also nice. The faculties are all M Tech qualified and some are from M SC. background and some doing PhD.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

After 6th sem placements starts. Companies like Pwc,EY, Nomura,Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant etc come. Highest package is 18 lakhs and lowest is 1.4 lakhs. Students must have a cgpa more than 6.5 to get college placements. My plan is to pursue M Tech from a renowned IIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 4 years the course fees is around 4 lakhs and somehow it's not so high like the other colleges. The college scholarship are available like Swami Vivekananda ,Student credit card policy and bank loan

Campus Life

Annual fest is Elixir. Tech fest is Techstorm. Annual fest occurs once in 3years and tech fest every year in month of March. Books are available in library. Cricket and football and also handball for girls are played here.

Admission

To study engineering at first you have to come from a Science background from school. Then give Joint entrance examination secured a decent score. The counselling process will start and according to the score of entrance exam the colleges are allocated. Seat reservation is available. The entrance exam is West Bengal Joint and also JEE mains. Application form is available in the west Bengal Joint entrance exam website.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My POV

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year. I got in techno international new town college in first round of counciling there i choose to upgrade because I thought I can get better in 2nd round so in 2nd round I get this bppimt college so I choose it because it was in upper of my college preference that I made from the online research and asking my friend and family members who studied in there .
