Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to become an engineer and learn about polytechnics, that's why I chose this course. The college itself is very big with over 80,000 students. There are many courses and faculty members but the college is never short on any teachers who has the knowledge about the subject. Each lecture will have a dedicated teacher assigned to that classroom and it rotates. The teachers are very highly skilled and equipped to help the students understand the complexity of the studies. The language barrier can be an issue but if you can communicate properly, then all is well. The exams are term based. Meaning each semester will have an semester-end exam and the final exams will happen in the last semester. If you study well and apply your knowledge, it wont be difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Bajaj, MAGNA visits our college to hire students during campus placement event. I know that they offer internships as well because I earned about 5000rs per month and also got 10% hike on my scorecard. The projects are pretty application based and the time spent on learning is what counts for these companies. Since these are training periods, you can easily land a job based on good performance.
Placement Experience
Students can get placements from last semester onwards. This college offers some nice placements from companies like Infosys, Tata motors, Mahindra, Wipro, etc. In the year 2012-2022, about 37 students received placements out of 100. This information is also given on the website. A friend of mine got really nice offer of 7 lakh per annum from Mahindra in 2019. He still works there as the zonal manager or something and earns really well. I personally want to pursue career in coding and game development.
Fees and Financial Aid
Each term for this course is about 18k. Which means yearly fees will go up to about 108000/- I haven't available any scholarships, but the college's website has all the information about fee structure, scholarship and other financial aid. During my 5th semester, college organized an placements campaign within the campus where the companies asked us to take part in internships as it would add up as extra scores. The stiphend was not that much, I earned 5000/- per month but I got 10%hike on my score card due to my practical experience, thanks to the internship.
Campus Life
My college is very well known for its amazing fest in the city. The most famous ones are Thantrostav and Aswanth cultural annual fest that happens around feb-march. The college places all its fun events online as well. I suggest you check it out. The library is really something as there are entire sections dedicated to each course that the college offers. The set up is very smart as it uses book stands that are compatible and movable. All the projects that students do are also recorded in the library so that freshers can also take reference. The classrooms are pretty basic, with benches and a white board and wifi system for presentation purposes. Teachers set up a white screen during such occasions. The campus heavility supports cultural and sport activities and asks the students to take part in them. Usually, the college organizes sports competition and offers great awards too. If you visit the website of this college, you will find many student bodies and clubs that are really fun.
Admission
The cutoff for this college is a bit strict but if you have done your 12th PCM and passed with over 66% percentile then you can become eligible. You can find the admission form by visiting the college's admission department. But you can also apply it online on their official college website. I am unable to place the link here but you can simply google and the website is very user-friendly. I haven't availed any reservation quotas so I don't know but the college does accept reservation cases and offer benefits. Post covid, the admission process became 80% digital so I think that's convenient.
