Course Curriculum Overview
There are two quizes , one midsem , one endsem , some surprise tests , assignment , spread throughout the semester, exams are on moderate difficulty but if you study regularly then you should be fine
Internships Opportunities
Internship starts from 5th semester and generally conducted in summers Jp Morgan ,oracle , Wal-Mart labs , Microsoft, D E shaw etc are some companies which takes on average 3-4 inters and stipends usually range from 40k to 1.5 lakhs rs
Placement Experience
I think from 7th semester, students starts sitting for companies placements Companies that visits are adobe , Google, Microsoft, samsung , deloitte , mc afee Almost 90 percentage of students gets placed from each ug depts
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is just like another nits about 70-80k pwr semester for general which includes institute fees(tution fees) , hostel fees ,mess fees but sc,st, are extempted from paying tution fees and ewd have to pay tution fees partly Scolarship and financial assistance are given to children who are in need of that
Campus Life
There are two fest conducted Technical fest - engineer October Cultural fest - incident (march) There are two libraries, one central and one e library Classroom are equipped with modern projectors and screens , wifi and many more We have freshers event and inter nit sports completion regularly
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room differ by in what year are you in , 1st year students gets triple sharing room with 3 stdy tables , 3 beds , 2 ceiling fans , 3 cupboard , lan sockets and charging outlets , mess are divided into two categoris , veg and non veg , but honestly don't expect mush for mess food here , they are barely edible Registration and fees submission are handled online only
Admission
Admission procedure is very simple , after getting seat in nitk through josaa counselling you have to go for physical document verification in college and , all the documents are thoroughly checked , institute , hostel , mess fees are submitted then you are member of nitk You get some reservation benefits like any other college , like getting admission in less marks than general
