Likes

The gymkhana. They Provide clean and crisp rooms for all kinds of sports . there are all kinds of sports grounds and even Karate coaching
The gyms in every halls. They are either cheap or free
The overall campus. it has all kinds of restaurants, ccd, mioamore, many food stalls market, clean wide roads and buildings

Dislikes

The water quality is low and it is irritative for few people
1st yr common syllabus faculties are often not that good
Library is not open for all 24 hrs. I hope it was

I love Physics and passionate about it Faculty is high and more than sufficient Students are 49 in 1st yr Qualification are Msc. s & PhD. in several branches in Physics and several Btech and Mtech. faculties are there as well Difficulty is high and There are 2 Semesters/yr and 2 exams per sem.

Class Size: 49Course Fees: INR 97000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Iiser share tcs communique techno india aditya birla several engineering companies etc. I have no exp in projects . but good grades and good LOR produces more probability of good placement with higher grade.

Placement Experience

Placements are super good No. of offers are countless so name of companies are countless as well every company like TCS wipro etc etc will hire from here directly (obvious for IITs) highest package is in Crores like 2 cr per annum and average is 25 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost to study is around 1 lakh per yr. excluding general costs Scholarships are available from Inspire that the college helps to get through ERP. Financial assistance is done through Income Certificate and Caste Certificates and PwD certificates. Fees remission automation is there in erp system

Campus Life

January - February, Tech fest is Ksitish & there is also Spring Fest one of Asias largest library is here in IIT KGP every book is hyper available There are every kind of sports including Cricket football volleyball basketball swimming shotput athletics HnF etc. There are all kinds of elective cultural extra curriculums and social service activities A lot of societies are there like spAts, Robotix, prodex, kshitish, 180DC, Share, Communiqué etc.

Hostel Facilities

All facilities are there Cooler gezer clean bathroom light fan washroom storage room internet connection etc meal quality is 7 out of 10 in LBS I have not rented a room I was provided by the institute

Hostel Fee: INR 72000 per year

Admission

Qualify JEE Advance Exam Josaa for counselling after finishing JEE Adv. Fees and application dates are provided by IIT KGP erp system and UGManual.pdf Reservation lowers the qualification cutoff for SC students and the instituion fees are remitted by 2 lakh/Yr. No Improvement Required .

For placement and internship we have CCD ( Career development center ) and it ensure that students are getting all the opportunities for interview with top companies like Microsoft, google, Goldman Sache amazon and so on. students can apply for internship in 5th semester and can sit for placement in their 8th semester, other than campus placement students can apply anywhere for off campus placement if they are meeting thier crieteria.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the campus are good. Most of the tech companies allow all the branches to sit for the tests. Eligibility criterial for many companies is around 7 CGPA. The average package is around 15 LPA. 90%of registered students get placed

I choose my course that chemistry because of the fact that I had got the rank that came under it and another reason is chemistry department is quite old here even if kanpur chemistry department is better for core, you will get chance for non core too here. Courses now deal more on chemistry related stuff. No need for course improvement Frequency is near end and mid sem there will be exams mode

Life at IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in IIT KGP in comparison to other colleges. People are eligible to sit for placements in their fourth year can sit for placements through CDC. The placements are held in two phases. In session 24-25, we have seen 1000+ offers to students in first phase. After getting degree, I would also go for doing job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course for the first year is easy overall , maybe challenging for biology students because involvement of Maths in the curriculum but they can decrease their load by practicing Maths problems, asking doubts, approaching the instructors or their personal mentors. Otherwise the course is mixed in a good way with theoretical and practical part. Labs are conducted of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and CS in first year. You can choose CS as an minor in higher classes.

Placement Experience:

It's a research Institute so no one really thinks about placements but still there's a placement cell in college and it tries it's best get as many company as they can... Placements are decent in chemistry maths and biology

IIT KHARGPUR- WORTH IT?

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
