Remarks
We have a huge area of campus with 4 boys hostel and one ladies hostel. We have succeeded in making it a ragging free campus. We would just be happy to see if the infrastructure of our college improves a bit.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for WBJEE exam conducted by government of west bengal and secured a general merit rank of 3306. I sat for e counselling and got admitted to jalpaiguri government engg. college in the department of civil engineering. Its high package and oppurtunities made me choose civil engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
Civil engineering is now a trending course with high package options and placement guarantee. We have to go for classes on site like field, road and even near water bodies for practical classes. We have regular classes and practicals taught by highly experienced professors.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided in WEBTEK, MSME on autocad and other courses for all departments. Rest for internships in companies or university are achieved through personal mail or sourcing. And the deserving candidates are approved for projects at various places.
Placement Experience
In our campus mainly software companies come for recruitment but still some core companies too visit our campus. For civil mainly SPCL visits us and for rest Tcs, wipro, laventage, cts, coca cola etc coes for recruitment. SPCL gives a package of 5.5 lpa.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We have a fee structure of : civil - rs 5,500 per semester (which is same for electrical and mechanical engineering) For electronics and computer science it is 8,501 per semester and for IT is 14,000 per semester. our hostel fees is 12,000 rupees per semester.
Faculty
We have good teaching staff and highly dignified person in our faculty list. Every department has one H.O.D. and rest professor and assistant professor. Our professor has many publications in IEEE and also as journal. Some professors have their books printed too.
