Remarks
Other than the sunny morning we also enjoy our hostel life. The junior senior bonding is quite good and helpful. In the morning a glimpse of the kanchenjunga can be seen from our hostel terrace.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for joint entrance exam and secured a general merit rank to get admission to jalpaiguri government engineering college in the department of civil engineering. After publish of rank we had to go through e counselling in which I was alloted jalpaiguri college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Civil engineering department was a choice for me since I started my studies in higher secondary. The faculty, laboratory an teaching technique of our department is quite good and up to date.
Internships Opportunities
The response to internships among our students is quite high. We try to complete atleast 3 internships in summer and winter vacations. Also students apply through Internshala and rest through mail to professors and companies. A stipend of approx. 5000 rs is earned.
Placement Experience
We have an active training and placement officer. Also our alumni group help us a lot in bringing different companies every year. Companies like ericcson, TCS, CTS, SPCL, vodafone, tech mahindra visits our campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The student of civil department has to pay a fees of rs 5,500 per semester. The fees for mechanical and electrical is same as that of civil. The student of electronics and computer science student has to pay a fees of rupees of 8,500 and that of IT has to pay rs 14,000.
Faculty
The teachers of our department are well experienced. The professors always stand beside us and never irritated to help us with any problem in any field. The teaching staff of other department are also of good standard and well cooperative.
