Remarks
Although I live near my college still I love being with my friends. Study and fun both are filled in in the campus. Our department needs to be improved a bit and some better professors should be brought.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for WBJEE exam and came to this college. Jalpaiguri government engineering college is ranked 3 among the government colleges of west bengal. Since I live in silliguri so was happy to get intake in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I got a chance in Electronics and communication department in this college. The department has lot of talented persons but the infrastructure and laboratories needs to be improved. We have elective option of data structure,power electronics and java.
Internships Opportunities
Our college doesn't provide any internship. Only a project for fourth year is given by the respective departmental H.O.D. Rest all summer and winter internships are earned by students through their personal mail or source.
Placement Experience
In the trending technological world most of the jobs are of IT sector mainly so placement for non core department is comparatively more than core department. TCS, cognizant, ericsson, vodafone,coca cola, SPCL are same mojor companies visiting our campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I have to pay an amount of rs 8,500 per semester as my college fees and rs 12,000 for hostel fees. Fees for ece and cse is same while for civil, mechanical and electrical it is rs 5,500 and for IT it is 14,000 per semester.
Faculty
Our departmental family consist of one H.O.D. and rest professor and assistant professors with four years of student. The teachers are very helpful and interactive. Also extra classes are taken by other teacher in case of absence of the concerned teacher.
