1. Coding is my passion, that's why choose this course 2. It's like 1 to many, but they're highly educated and experienced 3. Most of the teachers are PhD holder 4. Exams are very difficult, cheating is nearly impossible, only 10 students in a room of capacity 64 students with 2 or 3 guards

1. From 3rd year 2. Cognizant, Ola, Asian paints, many others as well 3. Highest package is 32 LPA. And average package is offered 7 lpa 4. 91% 5. I'm planning to do more Higher studies. After completing my Higher studies I'll try to get a job

1. My package is 7 lacs for 4 years. Higher placement causes the fees hike 2. If you score >85% in higher secondary exams then you will get scholarship from college. Also you can have swami vivekananda scholarship.

1. There're many feast in our college. In 12 months we've 60 feasts 2. We've a huge library. Many course related books from different authors 3. In classrooms we've white board, projector, wifi connectivity 4. They organises many sport tournament. 5. Google GDSC and many others

1. Secondary and higher secondary result both should be more than 60% 2. You can find an application form from SNU's Official website, no fees is charged while applying, no application date is available 3. No idea about reservation benefits. 4. Admission process is smooth but time taking. Some staffs can solve this problem

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
