Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very interesting. We can easily connect with the medicine world. And we all should know about the medicines, their mechanism of action etc. A lot number of faculty is available for the students. Every time the face prblm the faculties are always beside them. All the faculties ar M. Pharm qualified and some have compliment p.hd also. There are 4 continuous assessment in theory and 2 in practical . And 1 final semester exam for each theory and practical. The level of exams are average.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 408000 per year

Placement Experience

From 7th semester the placement is started. Various types of companies visit for the placement like gluconate, zydus, appolo, etc. The avg package is 3 lakh per annum. My plan is to complete the masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the course is 408000. The fees are collected according to the semester. And also have same extra cost for self. In the college scholarship are approved like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship and all others. The scholarship is also available for the masters student.

Campus Life

Annual fest and freshers welcome ceremony is arranged every year. The fest name is PANACEA. All types of books are available in the library. Cricket, football, volleyball, badminton etc. All types of games are held in college campus. There are various clubs in the college. For music there is a club SWARAS. There is E. Cell for the entrepreneurship, dance club is also there. There is also a photography club. All types of extra Curiulam activities are available for the students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. Bed , table, electrical, water supply, food etc are provided to the students. The food quality is very good. Veg, non-veg all types of menu are available. For the regeneration students have to visit the hostel . For mess or pg there is moidakol more. There all types of pg and mess are available.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Eligibility for the course is the student must have pcm or pcm in 12th. They have to appear in WBJEE Or JEE MAIN for admission. The application form for the exams are available in the official site of WBJEE and JEE MAIN.

The placement rate of our college is very good . Companies like macloeds, cipla, apollo, Glenmark,lupin , visits here to hire freshers in a decent amount. approx 65-70% students get placed in the campus,and reaming students are went for higher education in the different parts of the country.

Placement Experience:

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.

By WBJEE or AIEEE exam you have got a rank for admission in this college.There are 3 concealing process by the wbjee rank card. Then you have to varify your document in reporting centre , after that you go to the college for the admission.
