I chose the Computer science and engineering department because it is a hardware branch, and I can also get a software company job from here. Our faculty members are very good, and our teachers are all qualified in PhD and MTech, so they teach us very well. In the time of the exam, they help us properly, so we get good marks in the exam.

Our college is a semi-government college, so they give us many opportunities for scholarships. They provide us with Swami Vivekananda scholarships, and our college fees are like 90000 rupees per year. They also help us get a good job on campus.

Campus Life

Our college organizes the fest and athelema, which will be organized by 3rd year seniors. Many students participate in the annual fest and tech fest. Our college library is very good for reading books during exams; they also provide the best books. Our college organizes althelema, and seniors are organized in departmental sports like football, cricket, and basketball. Our college seniors are helping us to run coding and make websites.

Admission

I was admitted to this college based on my WBJEE rank, which is 34720. This is a semi-government college, and I hear about this college; it is the very best college according to our old seniors, so I choose this college and take admission in the electrical engineering department.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
