Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE (core) because of the really good placement and the faculty of the college. There are specialization options available for CSE as well (AI/ML, Data science, Cybersecurity, IoT). The faculty here is very helpful and excellent in teaching. Faculty:student ratio is pretty reasonable. Exams are easy and regular in time.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are usually available for 3rd year students, but me being a first year student, I don't have much idea about it. But from what I've heard is internships are completely dependent on academic performance.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in here considering the 12LPA average package and 45LPA being the highest. A lot of MNCs come here to hire people. Currently 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies like Adobe, IBM, Infosys, Deloitte and Accenture are top recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for BTech CSE (2023) is 1,37,000 per semester. Cost to study would be 11,00,000 (excluding hostel) Scholarship options are available on the basis of JEE Score and Board Percentage. Financial Aid may/may not be available for certain families classified through income.
Campus Life
Annual fests arw not very common in ITER. Only student organised events or fests are the ones students really be enjoying. Campus life is pretty much what every other college has to offer. Library is a massive 4 floor building with all kinds of books and journals available with an e-library and incubation halls and chambers. Classrooms are big and air conditioned and equipped with projectors (and smart boards in some classes as well). Sports and Athletics are conducted in another campus (Campus 2, SOA IMS) and ITER students are allowed in all of them. Extra curricular activities are way too good here. All kinds of clubs and societies are available to join.
Admission
The Admission Process includes 5 Stages: • Application through SAAT • Appearing SAAT Test • Provisional Allotment • Final Admission First step should be applying for the college through the SAAT Entrance test from the University Website (soa.ac.in) (JEE Mains scores also accepted). Afterwards an email regarding the test should reach the registered email address. After a few days of appearing the test, a branch choice email will be sent along with the details for eligibility. Eligibility (for CSE) is usually Board % > 65 and 150+ in Maths, Physics and Chemistry combined. SAAT Cut-off would depend completely on the college, but usually it's 80 %tile for CSE. After filling out the branch choice, an email for provisional admission will be sent, where a part of the fees is to be paid (in 2023 it was 85,000). After a few weeks of provisional allotment, final admission dates will be released and rest of the process will be taken care of in the college on the date of admission.
