Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

in SRCC you have two major courses BCom Honours and economic honours. as I wasn't eligible for the eco Honours course I opted for the BCom honours which is also the most preferred course given its comparatively easiness and same results as an eco Honours student. the security student ratio would be about 1: 50. the security seems to be average with the few teachers in the latter use having more experience where has initial use teachers of the additional subjects warrant seemingly much qualified and Vinod able to communicate effectively. students here try to focus on self learning rather than class based learning. examinations arant much difficult as you can score a decent 8 CGPA by just preparing during the study break. equations are usually based on the past use patterns except for the changes in the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

5

the companies are generally finance and consulting based such as Duestche Bank, SIG, Raam Group, Estee Advisors, Barclays, Bank of America, big 4s (EY, Deloitte), JSW. Tier Acompanies offer package of 30000 + with an average of 100000 per month while Tier B companies offer less than 30000 per month. approximately 50 to 100 students get an on campus internship opportunity. the criteria which the companies check is your CGPA your internship prior experience is your competitions and other extra curricular achievements

Placement Experience

5

after the fourth semester you become eligible for the placements which are based on your immunity CGP up to the 4th semester as well as your internship and other opportunities mentioned in your CV. more than 50 + companies visit or college offering about 200 + placement offers. kindly the highest package went up to 40 lpa CTC USUALLY Tier A COMPANIES OFFER A CTC OF 15 LPA WHILE THE B Tier COMPANIES ARE BELOW 15 LPA. if you belong the top 25 to 30% you are sure to get a package in SRCC I am pursuing chartered accountancy along side and plan to finish it after my degree, which is another route apart from placementd most sought by students at SRCC

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees is an average of 30000 which is slightly higher than the other colleges in Delhi University but still considerably low comparing most colleges in India. the facilities provided compared the fees is quite acceptable given association is completely centralised. hence the cause to study isn't a major factor. scholarships are provided both on merit and reservation based, with highly competitive tier. Currently, I am in the second year and in I am in the second year and applying for various Summer Internship opportunities on campus. The A-tier companies offer a package of minimum 30000 to an average of 1 lakh while the beat year ranges below 30000 to approx 10000. SRCC is one of the colleges in Delhi University to receive a wide variety of internship and placement opportunities as compared to other DU colleges

Campus Life

4.5

there are various societies in the college which conduct their annual events once every year based on their respective domains. the college also whose business conclave which is one of the Asia's largest undergraduate fest wearing famous personalities of various backgrounds are present in a 3 day event. first the conducted all round the year except on the examination months. library you will find a range of books Consulting academy as well as political historical novels fictions. classrooms have decent desk tables chairs, a blackboard or a whiteboard (for the newly established ones). SRCC holes a huge outdoor ground as well as an indoor sports complex hence all facilities and all various sports equipments of available. precisely there is a football ground a cricket pitch basketball court badminton courts table tennis courts. some of the famous societies or clubs in the college are the placement cell the financial investment cell the economic society the 180 degree Consulting society.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

the hostel facility is decently good as compared to any external paying guest or flat. benefits is there it is within the campus so you do not have to travel a lot you get a good breakfast lunch and dinner on the respective time even during Sundays. the rooms are sufficiently sized with a good restroom facility. staff is friendly and keep a good eye on us. the registration process is a bit difficult given the high competition and Limited seeds available the affordability is really cheap compared to an outside facility. peel quality is poor to medium but compared to the outside facilities for food the hostel food is comparatively better. PGS and flats are generally in the locality of Kamla Nagar Vijayanagar Shakti Nagar

Admission

The admission process for our batch took a turn by initiation of the Entrance Exam as compared to the 12th Percentage of Final Exams. It led to a more varied distrbution of students. The Central University Entrance Test (CUET) was an MCQ based Test with syllabi similar to that of 12th leading to a common platform to judge students. The exam was quite easy with many scoring a percentile of 99 and above, making the competition quite strong. All the details of the application are present in the UGC, DU and CUET Samarth Portal. The reservations did play a role as they take almost half the seats in SRCC. Maybe, this reservation percentage could be reduced to an extent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
