In 2020, a total of 476 students for B.Tech batch got placed in various companies. some of the top requiters are Capgemini, TCS, L&T, Wipro, TATA, HCL. The college has a placement cell that provides training and placement assistance to the students. The college organises various workshops , seminar and guest lectures to help students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for B.Tech in CSE at DR. B.C. Roy Engineering College is INR 3.76 lacs. The 1st year fee is INR 1.09 lacs. The second, third and fourth year fee of the cource are INR 86,900 INR 88,900 and 90,900 respectively. The college has a certain hike in the fees this year and the fee hike percentage is constant as mentioned in the brochure.

The college hosts an annual cultural fest called "Zeal" and a tech fest called "Horizon" in the moth of january. The college has a central library with a good amount of quality books to read and learn, and a lot more for sports and other activities.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
