Course Curriculum Overview
Most faculty members r good nd helpful, but some of the lab assistants r a bit cranky. Curriculum is under MAKAUT which I m not a big fan of. They don't teach Computer science at all in the 1st year. There are mentors in a 1:20 ratio .
Placement Experience
Students r eligible for placements since 7th semester. Major recruiter is cognizant. 2022 was the best year in terms of placements. Most cse nd IT students will get placed and EE dept is largely neglected. No internship opportunities from college. u have to be in touch with the faculty members as they can recommend you and have sources for internship opportunities. But after all, don,t rely on college for placements. Upskill urself nd go for off-campusing
Fees and Financial Aid
We were made aware of the fees hike during admission. But it was an unexpected 2.1L rupees increase in fees which is just too much considering the fact that the infrastructure nd campus is just unacceptable. Total fees stands at 5.7L rn . Options for student loan , scholarship and students credit card are available .
Campus Life
If u r looking to "enjoy" your college life don't come here. The campus literally has 3 buildings and no playground . Also , it is inside a residential complex . There is only 1 common room with a TT table. No annual fests , no tech fests nothing. Maybe like once in 3 yrs ?? Library is stacked nd u will find the books u r looking for. Inter- Dept football , cricket nd throwball is held once every year at Airport Quarters ground .
Admission
Admission is maily through WBJEEE , JEE Mains. Cutoff for CSE can go upto 20-24k in WBJEE nd 100k+ in JEE mains. Admission process is smooth except that their admission office is in a shitty location. Admission will be granted based on CRL and not on caste rank.
