- The teachers are very helpful and their teaching way is also very good. They use presentations and visual representations.
- The central library is huge and full of informative books based on our curriculum
- Workshops are held every week which are very informative and teaches us a lot of things regarding the subject as well as what we are gonna do after getting jobs in those specific fields
Dislikes
- I personally dislike the communication gap between the students and administration, which causes a delay in evreything
- I find the academic structure rigid, with limited flexibility in course selectionn, potentially inhibiting exploration of diverse interests
- Our college lacks laboratory equipments and resources and I feel like the college doesn't pay any attention to these things regardless of the hike in fees
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have opted for is Electronics and Communication Engineering which is currently very high demanding in the market. The faculties are very helpful and supportive, and all of them are highly qualified, PhD holders from renowned institutions.
Internships Opportunities
From the end of 5th semester one is eligible for internships. Companies like TCS, wipro, infosys mainly come give us opportunities for internships. But their way of teaching is not very good. These internships range from summer internships to semester long ones and generally we get offers from companies related to the specific field of ECE.
Placement Experience
From the end the 6th semester slwe are eligible for placements. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT visit our college. The packages are decent, average package being around 4 LPA. Highest Package was 14 LPA last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 6 lakhs if you don't opt for hostels and with hostels it goes around 8 lakhs. Currently there's a fees hike of about 45% due to order from the higher authorities (MAKAUT). I get SVMCM scholarship and it helps me a lot in reducing the total amount of fees, and as it is merit-based you need to have atleast 60% marks in your Higher secondary.
Campus Life
The college campus is very clean and well maintained and it is full of greenary. "Horizon" is the name of our annual fest and it is held in between Jan-Feb. The library is huge and updated too it contains all types of informative books about our courses as well as other things.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 beds in each room and the meal quality is above average. The food menu can be changed every week after discussion among the hostel-mates. The pricing goes around 80000 per year. Mess and PG are also available around the locality.
Admission
10+2 Marks required to be more than or equal to 60%. I have given JEE MAINS as well as WBJEE. All forms/details can be found on their official respective sites. No, you cannot avail your reservation benefits in this college as this is a private college.
