IIT KGP fresher review

I have chosen the BS course Economics at IIT Kgp because IIT Kgp is my second good economics course at IIT's. The ratio of professors and students is 1:60. All the professors are highly qualified in the course and are researchers in many regions which can be viewed from the IIT KGP website. There are methods that are great and personal interactions give a better experience too. There are mid sems about 6-7 weeks after the beginning of the semester with 1 or 2 class tests accordingly. and end sems about 4 months. There are a few difficult courses but could be passed after a little hard work. Individual studies and interaction with the professor help.

The internship offers will be from 3rd years of B.Tech and 4th years of M.tech and integrated courses of B.Sc&M.Sc too.The offers are from many MNC's.The students shall refer to few consultancies like Associate Consultant Intership AT Bain&company,etc.And many companies will be offering to the students.

Internships could be taken from any year but placement will be starting from 4th year with minimal cgpa of 7.Various companies like Google, Microsoft visit our campus for placement.Highest package will be crossing 2.6CPA for 2022-23 and has offers for approximately 1600.

There are fee waivers for family incomes below 1 lakh-100%;1 lakh to 5 lakhs-66% in tution fee.For SC,ST,PwD there is fee waiver about 100%.There are also many scholarships which are based on cgpa and annual family income.

Annual Cultural fest is Spring Fest and Tech Fest is Kshitij which are held in the month of January.There is large Library in which the collection of books is large and in all the sectors and departments.There are about 22 departments in IIT Kgp.There are many sports like cricket, badminton,chess, basketball, table tennis, swimming,and many more.There are also NCC and NSS groups.Prasthanam is an Telugu acting society which will be run by students committee, in which seniors will be teaching juniors and organising programs also done by students group.The classroom are at Nalanda complex which are huge and implanted with projectors and speakers.The campus is huge about 2100 acres so we need bicycle to move from one place to another.The night life of IIT Kgp will be nice since the paths will be full of lights and during fest time whole campus will be decorated and is beautiful to view at night times.Only drawback is so long to walk and much time is needed to move from one to another place

There are about 20 hostel accomodated for students.In few halls rooms will be allocated to more than 1 and few have single allocations.As IIT Kgp is an old campus many hostels are old but all of them are huge.It will be nice to have a large number of students staying together. Every hall has playground for badminton and few have indoor games and few have basketball ground and few have mini football grounds and many has all combined.The food is good , we get food varieties from South India and North India too.Will be allocated after getting admission in IIT Kgp.A couple of forms are sufficient to get into these halls.

We need to qualify for JEE MAINS initially, next, we need to cross the cut-off ranks in JEE ADVANCED. These application forms can be found online via their websites. There are reservations for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and Physically handicapped. The admission process will taken by councilling rounds of JOSAA. There were no problems in the admission process. All of them are online and everything was smooth. No improvements were suggested.
