Mostly i liked the campus, its green big and beautiful
The academic function takes place om schedule always
Being cut off from. The main city it gives you time to make bonds with your friends

High fees and the increasing trend of the same
Unapproachable faculties after regular class hours

I chose EEE because it's an interesting subject The faculty is good mostly but sometimes take discisions that might not suit you Teachers are highly qualified And all exams are held according to the academic calendar announced at the beginning of the academic session

Placement Experience

Placements are fairly good if you get a good gpa overall and try to get some skills you can definitely get a good pay job , however the percentage of student being placed is less so you might face difficulties if you couldn't bag a good gpa overall

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is relatively high despite being a GFTI it charges 18lakhs for btech (4years in 2023) which will only rise compared to average packages offered to the students it's mostly disturbing, certain scholarships are available but you need good jee ranks to get it.. But again why would you choose bit with a good jee rank??

Campus Life

Fests are usually organised frequently but you won't see much enthusiasm among the students about it partly due to the fact that most of us got this college rather that what we wanted to have originally

Hostel Facilities

Hostels were usually ment for 1 person 1 room but due to increase in capacity of the college they increased 2 per room which could be challenging for people who have a habbit of staying in ones own room because lack of personal space is a reality

Hostel Fee: INR 55000 per year

Admission

I took admission through jee mains 2023 The application form was easily available at jeemains.nic.in I don't have any reservation benifits I'd like to see more mock drills on how to rank colleges at the jossa mock rounds

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More
