- Things i like about iit kgp is its huge campus of 2100 acre lush green campus you will find greenery everywhere throught the campus except classroom:(
- Fest are the other thing which i liked about kgp which are being conducted on such grand level
- Food court are good to eat during weekend
Dislikes
- There us nothing outside the campus to visit.
- Don't understand what the profs are teaching during class.
- Seventy five precent compulsory attendance
Course Curriculum Overview
Every faculy is very good completed their PhDs from reputed foreign and indian universities. I don't have specific data about student to faculty ratio but administration takes action to maintain under specific certain limit.
Internships Opportunities
You will find best internship and placement opportunity in the clg. Clg takes extra effort during placement season they try their best just we have to work on developing industry standard skills. Mostly jobs are in tech feild which includes maang. And in consulting too few big names come for campus placement
Placement Experience
For campus internship you will be eligible from fifth semester and for placement you will be eligible from seventh semester. Placement are good , iits are know for their placement only. Talking about package highest may be around 1-3 crore depending upon the year of placement less during current session due to estimation of recession. Average package may vary from 15 -20 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure for entire is is nearly 1.5 lakh including hostel mess and tution and you will get scholarship depending upon the family income. If it is less than one lakh then tution fee is wavied off. If it's above 8 lpa then you have to pay 100% fee.
Campus Life
There are two major fests one is techno management fest known as kshitij and other is cultural fest know as spring fest both take place in month of january . Organized in a very grand level more than 10k+ student participate in various competition organised. Library is one of the day biggest more than 1 lakh books editorial journals magazine and research papers. In one word magnificent heaven for bookworms.
Hostel Facilities
My room is shared between three of us. We get bed, cupboatd, chairs and study table for each of us. We get all the basic facilities like filter water, washing machine, water cooler etc. Meal is decent what you expect form mess .
Admission
Admission was through jee . First you have to qualify jee mains whose cutoff for general category is 90+ percentile then you have to appear for jee advance. On basis of your jee advance rank you will get admission through josaa counseling which has 5-6 rounds.
