I want to take engineering and ecm is as expected I want both Electronics and Computer to study and gain knowledge In vit chennai , faculties are really good They help us whenever we need Most of the faculties are doctorates But the FAT exams are little bit tough to pass for few people and few faculties are not lenient The faculties in vit chennai are more and there are no lack in faculties

The internship opportunities are available when we come to 3rd year We can work in the college or some people prefer going out and some do work from home The internships is also based on cgpa Our projects after internship is monitored

Placement Experience

Placements are top in vit From 4th year , we can opt for Placements But the Placements will be based on our cgpa Where the 9 pointers get the 1st priority The average package offered is 75lpa 99% of students are getting placed in vit

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is high The college fees which I am paying is 2,50,000 which is not worth 1,20,000 is fine for category 1 The scholarships are provided by the college based on our cgpa Our Performance matters in vit Placements are really greater in vit

Campus Life

Life in vit is excellent There are more events We get chance to participate in most of the events When we join a club, we get some posting there We get a new experience in that The library in vit is Also a great infrastructure

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very good compared to other colleges The meal taste really good But sometimes we get mostly north Indian dishes The quality is also quite fair The Hostel room is alloted by the Hostel office for 1st year They also give us a chance to change our rooms The akkas who work there, help is well

Admission

I applied for viteee I wrote entrance for vit And came into cat 2 in counselling In counselling I got btech ecm I was ok with that , but fees is high than I expected The application form will be available in online and you can fill it within February The exam dates and information regarding the entrance will be mailed to you You can make use of it

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
