Dislikes
- Washrooms and canteen in the college looks unclean and unhygienic..
- Even after 50% percent fees hike they demand seperate money for every small things like manaul cover, registration fees to attend different events, etc. for ever
- The staffs in the student affairs cell are very rude, they don't talk gently unlike the teachers
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to become software engineering and this college is nearer to my home, easy mode of transportation. The student to faculty ratio is very bad. Faculties are highly qualified with MS, Mtech and PHDs from reputable government institutions. There are four term exams held before one or two months prior to the semester exams. One must be prepared enough before the exams as last day will be useless.
Placement Experience
Students from 7th semester onwards becomes eligible for placements. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, etc. Even Jio visits for recruitment these days. The highest package till date offered is 22lpa and PWC provides above 5.5 lpa packages that are quite good for freshers rest averages around 4.5 lpa. Around 80% percent students both from CSE and IT departments gets placed and 60% overall across all the departments. I plan to get a decent job with a decent wage, higher studies is also one the options.
Fees and Financial Aid
Recently the West Bengal educational department hiddenly hiked the fees by 50% which is very much like a scam, they did it after admission which is cheat to all the students as many of us took the admission based on the previous fees structure but the hike was hidden untill the completion of admission, now we are helpless.
Campus Life
A fest called Elixir happens once in every four years, tech fest happens sometimes. Library is well equipped with sufficient and relevant books for all the courses offered in the college. Classroom is not that fancy, simple as like a mediocre school classrooms but are very small. Inter Football, Table tennis tournament happens annually or semi annually and seminars related to entrepreneurships happens monthly. BPPIMT alumni conducts grey matter quiz annually within the college premises which is very important for mar points.
Admission
45% in both class 10 and 12 Must have qualified WBJEE Or Jee Mains The rank must fall within the previous years cutoff for respect to different brances The admission in this college is done through WBJEE counselling. No reservation is there, tfw students gets full fee waiver. The admission office is in park street, it will be better if they conduct admission within the college premises.
