I am persuing Bachelor of Technology (BTECH) in Computer Science and Engineering (core branch).This is because I am quite interested in computer applications , one more reason for choosing this course is its placemend record as compared to other bramches of engineering. Talking about professors ,they are quite friendly and teach us very nicely .

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like byjus ,Accenture ,TCS etc provide internship opportunities to us .All you need is proper knowledge and appropriate skills ,and you can easily get placed in top campanies.So all the best .

Placement Experience

Our college has better placements than many engineering colleges with average package of 5 lakh per annum .Students from 3rd year are eligible for campus placements .Last year various companies like Accenture ,TCS etc visited our college for placement .Highest oncampus placement of our college is 20 lpa and average package is 5 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

So present fees structure of my btech course is 5 lakh 80 thousand excluding hostel and mess charge. We can apply for various scholarships like SVMCM and too apply for Student Credit Card Loan,wb from our college .

Campus Life

So presently ,i am a fresher ...so talking about campus ,it is quite clean and greeny .We can spend free time on playground sitting together .Our college organizes ZEAL fest every year with lots of fun and enjoyment .We have lots of club too such as Music club ,dance club, photography club etc.

Admission

I got admission in Dr. B. C Roy Engineering College ,dgp through WBJEE exam . As you all have heard already about WBJEE exam so it is not new .Talking about our college cutoff for Wbjee ,it generally lies from rank 20k to 35k .Admission process is quite better and fast in our college .

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3. In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
