Good and helpful behaviour of our faculty members and professors of our college
Beautiful clean and green campus of our engineering College
A big library where we can study at our free time without any disturbances and having a lots of books there which helps us to solve our doubts

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained which results in disturbances while performing our lab experiments
The seniors of our college are very rude and always try to bully our batchmates
I didn't like the college canteen as prices of foods are quite high there .

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science and engineering branch because I like to know more about coding languages etc. One more reason of choosing this branch is good placements offered. As we all know that cse branch has more better placements as compared to other branches. Faculty members are quite helpful. Our professors are also polite and having a great knowledge in their particular subjects.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As you all know that our college is a private institute,so it's fees is quite moderate as compared to other colleges in West Bengal. The total fees of engineering is 5 lakh 72 thousand excluding hostel and mess charges. We can apply in various scholarships like svmcm ,pragati and also for student credit card loan too... College will help us in anyways.

Campus Life

Now talking about our college campus.its quite clean,green and beautiful with lots of trees and many flowers grown there. We can spend our quality time with our friends in the campus. Our campus organized zeal fest every year with lots of enjoyment and fun. Our college has various clubs like dance ,music , photography etc.

Admission

I took admission in Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, durgapur through wbjee examination. As you all have heard about wbjee entrance examination before. You can get admission in our college through JEE MAINS and merit list also. Talking about admission process in our college, it was quite fast.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3. In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
