I am pursuing a BTech course in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING, so the reason behind choosing this course is my personal interest in computer applications and the other important reason is placement, the highest placement on this course.

Many companies provide internship opportunities to the fresher graduates of our college, mainly TCS and WIPRO. We are getting various opportunities to upgrade our skills in our respective fields of engineering.

Placement of our college is quite high in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING branch as compared to other branches. The average package is 5 lakh per annum and the highest package at our college is 20 lakh per annum on campus. Many companies visited our college like BYJUS, ACCENTURE, TCS, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is very high compared to other engineering colleges. We all know that fees are quite high in private engineering colleges so please try to get admission in government engineering colleges. We can apply for various scholarships like SVMCM and education loans too.

Campus Life

The campus life of our college is average. But yes our college organizes a great annual fest every year ZEAL FEST which brings a lot of fun and joy We have many social clubs like a photography club, music club etc. Our college also organizes sports every year.

Admission

I got admission to this college through the WBJEE entrance exam. As you already heard about this entrance exam. So talking about the cutoffs, it basically varies between rank 20000 to 25000, it changes every year. So best of luck.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3. In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
