Placements are good in VIT with almost everyone getting placed
Campus is huge and infrastructure is really good.
Faculties here are all PhD holders and good

Dislikes

Rules are pretty strict here in college.
Student density is pretty bad. There are lot of students.
Hostel wardens are pretty strict and you can enjoy too much.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in cyber physical systems. It gives me a chance to live my passion of coding. Faculty- student ratio is quite good and most of the faculties are PhD holder. There are three exams in a semester and questions given in exam are mix of easy and hard

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided in the college. Companies which provide internships include TCS, DBS bank,etc. Stipend provided is from thousands to lacs per month. You can do summer internship and industrial internship.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Over 100 companies visited college last year. With over 3000 students getting placed. Highest package offered was 1.02 cr pa and average was 9.23 pa. Almost all student get placed last year. I plan to sit in placements and get job instantly after finishing degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 5 categories of fees in VIT. For category 1, fees is 1.98 lac. For category 2, it's 2.98 lac. And for 3.98,4.48 and 4.98 for category 3,4 and 5 respectively. There is no fee hike for tuition fees. You can get scholarship in the form of lower categories only.

Campus Life

Tech fest is conducted in month of October-November. And cultural fest is conducted in March. Library is quite huge and almost all the books are available. Classrooms are also decent. Sports activities are nice. And there is a great culture of clubs and societies

Hostel Facilities

We are provided with the choice of AC and non-AC rooms. Registration process is quite easy and fully online. Meal provided in hostel mess is really good. If you want to rent a room or PG ,there are quite a few good apartment available nearby

Hostel Fee: INR 218000 per year

Admission

Admission process was very smooth. I gave entrance exam VITEEE and got my result after few days. Then there was e-counselling for seat allotment. After seat allotment, i submitted fee through online mode only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
