My experience in my university

I chose this course because I find geology intresting. It allows to know about the past events and also predicts the future in a certain level. The faculty student ratio is 1: 4. The qualification of the faculty members are MSc and PhD. The teaching method includes lestures, discussion and lad activities. The term exams are held once in two months and the difficulty is moderate.

The admission for the PG course is about 8000 (approx) with an additional transportation fee of Rs 660 for hostellers and Rs 1650 for day scholars. And the subsequent admission is about 4350. The hostel admission is about Rs 4000 and the subsequent is about Rs 2500. The scholarship the students usually apply is 'Nagaland state scholarship '. Financial assistance and jobs are unheard of in the campus.

There is an annual win fest conducted in the month of December. The library is well managed and there is a good amount variability and quantitative of books and journals available in the library. There is and annual inter campus sport meet , and an annual sport meet within the campus. The extra curricular activities includes a mass social work on the last Friday of the month , freshers day and parting social. There is an NSS club.

The facilities in the hostel includes a study table, bed , a locker, fan and some sport equipments and inverter in the study hall. The meal meal quality and menu is moderate. The hostel admission is done merit wise on the percentage acquired during graduation. The admission is Rs 4000 and subsequent is Rs 2350 with and additional transportation fee of Rs 600.

The admission was done through entrance test. The selection was done based on merit system. Since there was 20 seats available the top 20 students in the entrance test was selected and 5 were on waiting list. The eligibility of the course is BSc Geology. The application form (fees and dates) was uploaded in the university website.
