- University campus is calm and peaceful and it is the safest place for girls students as well.
- Teachers are very humble, friendly and interactive. They are all regular and punctual.
- Faculty's of particular Geology department are so helpful who always ready to help students in every possible they can.
Dislikes
- University doesn't provide internship programme for the students which is very much important.
- University doesn't provide placement service
- There is no cctv inside the campus which is very much essential for both students and faculty's security.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Geology through carrier counseling I happened to meet a teacher who is kind and supportive to me. Timing of exams for theory paper is 10 am-1 pm. And for the practical exam, there is theory as well as viva
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are paid semester wise around 7000 per semester two semester in a year. Hostel fees 1500 per month. Lab fees 1200 per semester. Merit scholarship we get around 20000. Post metric 8000 twice which makes 16000 per year.
Campus Life
Games and sports are given equally important as studies. Different varieties of books and journals are also available in the library. There were used smart board in our classroom. Classroom facilities are moderately fine.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room facilities are quit okay. There is fan, two tables, two chairs and two beds if double or one beds for single room. There is wifi in the hostel. Hostels are very affordable which is only 1500 per month. Hygiene and healthy food are also provided.
Admission
I got selected in Mizoram university, Sikkim University and kohima science college. But I choose Nagaland university because it is the only central university in our State. It also convenient for me financially.
Faculty
The faculty of Geology department are so approachable. Students and teachers maintain friendly teaching and learning relationships. There is no faculty I don't like or I like them the most. I honestly like them all as they all have a unique character and also helpful.
Interview Experience
There are two rounds of exams for the admission in the University. First we had written exam after qualifying we again faced interview where four well known and qualified teachers are sitted with the questions ready, they will filter only 20 students out of many candidates. Questions are moderate-easy, I mainly focus on concepts of Geology for these exams.
